My Approach

I support a women’s own inner trust and their child to guide my offering. I bring my presence and experience to support an undisturbed birth space and a gentle birth for baby.

When birth is revered for the sacred right of passage that it is, the deep power and gifts of birth easily fall upon families and bless them for their entire lives and their child’s life.

I offer emotional and physical support for the entire pregnancy, birth and postpartum enabling the most transformative and positive birth experience.

I have experience supporting birth in all settings, as an independent birth guardian and nurture a mothers autonomy and choice.

As a holistic birth doula, my role is to prioritise what is important to you including your cultural and spiritual ways.

I support all ways of giving birth, all scenarios, family shapes and single mothers. A women has the right to give birth wherever and with whoever she chooses.

  • When continuous labour support was provided by a doula, women experienced better results including;

    • 28% decrease in the risk of caesarean section

    • 34% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience

    • 12% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth

    • 9% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief

    • 14% decrease in the risk of newborns being admitted to a special care nursery

    (Hodnett et al. 2012)

  • Every birthing person would benefit from a doula, no matter if you are a first time parent or hoping for a positive and perhaps different birth outcome this time.

Having a knowledgable and experienced person present during your pregnancy journey and birth makes a huge impact on how you will feel and your sense of confidence.

  • Birth works and baby will be born, no matter if a doula is there or not. I trust women's ability to birth.

Having a doula can make a big difference to a women's birth space and sense of confidence.

In Australia today, one in three women experience birth trauma and a doula have become more and more popular because of our current birth culture.

Generations ago, expertise in pregnancy and childbirth existed more as general common knowledge amongst women than it is today.

Women would often birth at home with support from close family and friends and midwifes. In our current world, deep support from family, elders and knowledgable close friends is not always present and is such why doulas have become so popular. They bridge the gap which current Medicine and Hospital Care does not have the time and resources to consistently provide.

Our pregnancy birth and post-birth experiences have huge and ongoing impacts. This impact can present physically, spiritually, emotionally or mentally and also impact the child and birthing partner.
